Engineering largely remains a male-dominated industry. There is still a low percentage of female engineers not just on the African continent, but in the rest of the world. Despite the many obstacles and barriers that female engineers face, they continue to persevere and make history, but we need to do more. It is up to the entire engineering sector, men and women, to shatter the barriers and allow the trailblazers to inspire a new generation where more women become engineers.
Join us at the SAIEE National Conference for our inaugural Women’s Breakfast where we will inspire and celebrate women in engineering. The SAIEE is also excited to launch the Women in Engineering Chapter that enforces our commitment to grow and strengthen the engineering sector. Be part of Engineering an Africa for the future by not just breaking down barriers, but shattering them.
